BOOK REVIEW: Still Me by Jojo Moyes

Found at Penguin Random House

I don’t even know where to begin with this book. I have to admit, I haven’t read ‘ Me Before You’, but I have seen the film (which I loved). I also didn’t read the second book in the trilogy – which I will go back and read because I need to fill the gap!

I have honestly never read a book and connected with a character so much. I feel like we all have an inner Louisa Clark. She is funny, scatty, insanely loyal yet feisty. Following Lou moving to New York, almost satisfied this want I had to do the same when I was younger. Jojo Moyes creates characters that although may seem eccentric, are extremely believable. Reading the book felt like Lou was just writing letters to me, telling me about her time in New York and the highs and lows. This book made me feel angry yet warm and fuzzy, and the ending, well, it was everything I hope for in an ending.

I couldn’t put this book down. I was doing chores around the house and took the book with me as I needed to know what happened next. I will 100% be reading the rest of Jojo Moyes’ novels and I really hope that we can continue to follow Lou Clark’s adventures in her wonderful yet whacky life!
